News-Sports.net - Jul 14,2010 - One lucky fan at each Cubs home game will walk away as the winner of a significant cash prize. Many nonprofits in Chicago will further their missions with the help of Cubs fans' generosity. Both fans and nonprofits will benefit from Chicago Cubs Charities' new 50/50 raffle at Wrigley Field, which is taking place at all Cubs home games following the 2010 All-Star Break.
Fans may purchase 50/50 raffle tickets from uniformed Chicago Cubs Charities raffle ticket sellers starting two hours before the game until the bottom of the fourth inning. The winning ticket will be announced in the middle of the eighth inning and one lucky fan will win half of the net proceeds from the game's raffle ticket sales. The other half will benefit Chicago Cubs Charities.
Tickets may be purchased in the following allotments: One ticket for $2, three tickets for $5, seven tickets for $10 and 15 tickets for $20.
The raffle's winning number and prize amount may be verified at the Fan Services window on Wrigley Field's main concourse or by calling the Chicago Cubs Charities 50/50 Raffle hotline at 773-404-4726. Official rules are available at these locations as well.
"We're excited to introduce the Chicago Cubs Charities 50/50 raffle at Wrigley Field," said Mike Lufrano, Cubs senior vice president, community affairs. "It promises to be a lot of fun for fans who participate and will raise funds to help those in need throughout Chicago."
